DNS TTL (Time To Live)

How long DNS records are cached.

Definition

TTL (Time To Live) is the number of seconds a DNS resolver caches a record before querying the authoritative nameserver again. A TTL of 3600 means records are cached for 1 hour. Lower TTLs reduce propagation time during DNS changes but increase query volume. Common values: 300 (5 min), 3600 (1 hour), 86400 (24 hours).

Use the tool: TTL Migration Planner — check dns ttl for any domain.
